I have worked with students for over 12 years now and i thank God for how far we have come. There's no greater feeling than when you meet students you have trained and they are so happy to see you and they are achieving great things in life! You are not only their teacher but you have become a life long friend!
I have former students who have become lawyers, actresses, musicians, teachers and so forth. And the hallmark of this life in the arts industry (emphasis on working with students in the KNDF) is when i have been able to be a part of building someone's career till the parent considers me a son and the student looks up to me as a big brother!
The reason why i am writing this is because some of the trainers that students are looking up to have turned into predators! We are taking away the dignity of influencing someone's future in a positive manner! That child could be your sister, brother, cousin or off spring.
How in our right minds we would look at a student and find them "appealing" is not only mind boggling but also very disgusting!
It is not right to have canal knowledge of any person who is under the legal age of 18! If i am not wrong it is statutory rape and it come with a jail term.
Trainers and teachers of drama, please let us protect our children! When students look up to you and such things happen, you are not only affecting the physical/psychological being of that student, you are also creating a negative environment for the next person who will get an opportunity to work with those students!
Happy Scripting guys!
